28th November

Today was the day we planned to go to Sunway Lagoon theme park. We woke up early at 8:30 to catch the public transport there to get there when it opens at 11. We had toast for breakfast and got our bathers on ready to go. We caught the monorail to KL sentral and from there we caught the train to Sebain Saba (not sure of name) station. We were a little bit confused on how to get to the sunway shopping centre, but after seeing a run down bus with sign Sunway we hoped on that. The bus was so squishy and sounded like the gears have warn down. I laughed most of the way at the drivers ability to drive it. We followed the crowd to Sunway Lagoon. We waited in line and got our cool electronic wrist band which gave us access into the park. Upon entry the first thing we went to was the wave pool. To get there you go down escalators (that’s right, they had escalators to take you down to the swimming area) We were longing for the water and finally we got some. Afterwards we went to the tube slides and a slide that is straight where you down down and is like a U shape, going up and down up and down till you stop naturally. From these slides we went on the speed mats and me and kate went so fast we were airborne on some of the dips.

The food in the park was quite expensive (like every theme park). It was the 1st time we had a western meal of hamburgers and chips. This is only because they didn’t have any other food really available. After eating the meal we went on rides to vomit it up haha. We went on a rode similar to the Bounties revenge at adventure world but it went around completely, went on a rollercoaster and teecups (that spun around). The rides weren’t that thrilling and we ended up back into the water. It started to rain and it was nice being in the rain while in the pool. We decided to leave and have a look at the shops in Sunway Pyramid at around 5:30. Overall I would say that the theme park is equivalent to Adventure World but was much nicer done.

We exited and entered the giant mall which overlooked the Lagoon theme park. Inside there was an ice ring on the bottom floor. We really wanted to go ice skating but because we only had 20RM, no socks and mitts we couldn’t do it. We decided to have a look around and found a store called Jusco. Inside they had massive sales of 70% designer brands such as diesel. We were devastated that we only had 20RM so we decided to rush back to KL and get some money and go shopping closer to home. We caught the bus back to the station and caught the train and monorail back. The train was sooooo full, we had to stand squashed the whole time. At the moment I really just wanted to get home because was so tired and extremely hungry. We decided to eat at the major centre outside the monorail because it was the closest food. After walking around for 20 minutes trying to find food we ended up asking and was told to go to the 4th floor. I was quite shocked how run down that floor was compared to the others. There was only a few places open which included “buffet” style where the food probably had been sitting there all day. We saw one man in a small kitchen cooking food in a clay pot and thought this would be the safest option. Waiting for 15 minutes for him to cook it we were dying, but it was so worth the wait. The food was great and had novelty because it was in a pot. We went home that night and chatted to people on msn then went to bed.
