24th November

Today we left Perth for KL flying Air Asia X. We were surprised with the quality of the plane. The size of the seats were pretty standard but they came with tv screens as standard. The 6 hour plane trip didn’t seems that long thanks to movies and tv shows on my laptop. We had our first asia meal called nasi lemak on the plane. When we arrived at the airport we were surprised that customs did not check our bags. It was whi6tkind of overwhelming because we did not really know what to do. To catch taxis from the airport we had to buy a coupon. The drive from the airport to our home stay was roughly the same time from Mandrah to Perth. The taxi driver did 130km/h in an 80 zone. There were so many planted palm trees everywhere on the way to KL.. Also the houses in the suburbs were like from an american movie- they were all the same, like 100’s of houses looking exactly the same. When we 1st got into KL it was exciting to see all the shops and buildings everywhere. We arrived at the guest house and was warmly greeted by the lady at receiption. We were shown the room and around. The room is pretty standard but it’s a bed and has airconditioning. After that we went exploring by feet around the city. With china town our decided destination we randomly walked in its general direction. It was a little harder to find then we 1st anticipated. When we got there we went to the night markets. I was concerned about my possessions but nothing was taken. So many ppl were hassling us too buy stuff. Best way to reply is squeal at them haha. After starving for hours we got food at this small resturant. It was the 1st time we started to use chopsticks. After we went back to the markets. On the way home we got so lost. We were walking around for ages. Around in circles. Passing places 3 or 4 times. Then we realised we were looking at the wrong place on the map so we were aiming for the wrong place to begin with. After prob an hour we got directions and found the place ok. We went to bed early so we can wake up tomorrow early.
